“Our Shared Water Future” Green Bag Lunch & Learn (hosted by Water ’22 in conjunction with the Colorado Environmental Film Festival 2022 All-Virtual Festival)
March 3, 2022 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
Join Water ’22 and the Colorado Environmental Film Festival for a lunch and learn panel focused on the interconnectedness of water in Colorado and the increased focus on shared stewardship to meet demands of both communities and the environment. Water Connects Coloradans across the Continental Divide, from the headwaters of the Colorado River, to metro Denver and beyond. Projects to move water from one river basin to another have enabled Colorado cities, industry and economic development, but not without impacts. This panel will explore collaborative work in both headwaters and plains regions to mitigate impacts and restore natural ecological functions of rivers, while also looking at what cities like Denver are doing to make imported water go further through water recycling and reuse and a “One Water” model.
This is a Virtual Event.
